GM-5400T Features
760-Watt Max Power
Anybody have a problem with more power? We didn’t think so. The GM-5400T packs an impressive wallop despite its small size, with 760-watt max power capability. It can run 125 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, 380 watts x 1 at 4 ohms, or 190 watts x 2 at 2 ohms–whichever best fits your system configuration.
Built-In Crossover (80Hz Low-Pass Filter)
Built into the GM-5400T is a very smart crossover network. It works like a gateway, routing the big bass signals (80Hz or lower, at -12dB/octave) to the speaker that handles them best, filtering out higher-frequency signals to that speaker. This optimizes your system’s efficiency and delivers the best possible sound quality.
Speaker Level Inputs
The GM-5400T’s speaker level inputs allow you to connect your OEM unit (or any unit that doesn’t have the typical RCA-type inputs) without having to buy add-on adapters. The install goes faster, you save money, and you’ve got a Pioneer amp in your vehicle.
Gain Control
What is power without control? To accommodate the varying range of signal levels coming from today’s factory and aftermarket radios, all of Pioneer’s GM-series amplifiers feature adjustable gain controls. This means that no matter what kind of radio is connected to this amplifier, the appropriate gain control adjustment can be made to ensure loud, clear, distortion-free music. I found the best price & product description for this item on Amazon. I was comparing the unit to several Pioneer amps. I wanted a complete Pioneer system in my car so that all the components would be designed to work together. At 760 watts, it was double what I really needed to “bump” my Pioneer sub. I found that this unit was more versatile for a few more dollars then a smaller-mono amp and even though it is a 2-way amp, it could be wired mono or 2-channel? The instructions were easy to follow. Finding a location was difficult, it would not fit under the seats of my car. I ened up moving to the rear of my S.U.V. I used a Scorsh amp install kit from Walmart, it was the cheapest place to get an wiring kit that had all the stuff I needed to get my amp powered up. The unit does just want I needed it to do & is more versatile then what I was origingally going to buy. The only downer was having to locate the amp in the rear of the S.U.V. The amp install kit had plenty of wire from battery to amp to get the job done.

it is a great product. it works for decent subs. if you want to power high wattage subs then you prolly need to get something else. i have it powering two 250 watt rms kenwoods and it works just fine.

Pioneer GM-6400F Amplifier, Input Harness, Installation Hardware, Owner’s Manual
I installed this amp in a 2002 Mustang Gt Convertible. The installation was a bit troublesome the car simply does not have a lot of options for an amp this big. Once in and paired with a Pioneer FH-P8000BT head unit, Pioneer HD Tuner, Pioneer Premier TS-A643P and TS-A532P Premier series speakers this unit rocks. The volume it gave the speakers is amazing. Lows are deep and pounding, highs are crystal clear. Before installing the amp the head distorted the speakers at high volumes. Multiple options for wiring (I do recommend patch cables for the speakers) Separate gain adjustments, super big ground and power lugs, and a heavy backbone make this amp one to buy. If you are looking for a good amp at a good price this is the one for you.

Pyle Blue Wave bandpass subwoofers are specially designed for maximum slam! This woofers is mounted inside a dual-chambered box – one sealed, the other ported – with the sound waves emerging from the ported box. This yields a low, narrow frequency sound (30 Hz – 700 Hz) with a huge punch that’s super efficient. With ample room, these babies will roar. The 500-watt 10” subwoofer is built with a specially treated black rubber edge suspension, so the only vibrations you’ll be hearing will come from your music. The blue polypropylene cones provide maximum boost and extend the life of your product and ensure the safety of your vehicle. And this subwoofer doesn’t just sound great – it looks great, too, thanks to the Plexiglass front window. Feel the bass with Pyle’s bandpass subwoofers!
The first thing I noticed while unboxing the subwoofer is the weight of the carpet covered, cast-aluminum box, very nice heft but the carpet is slippery. Plexi-glass window on one end let’s you see the travel of the heavy duty blue, poly cone. Dual ports on the opposite end of the box have a very smooth finish. Actual power ratings are 350 Watts RMS/500 Watts peak.
Situated just below the dual tuned ports is the gold-plated, spring-loaded combination speaker connection block that will accept banana plugs and pin-type connections as well as wire up to at least 4-gauge. There is a built-in low-pass filter in the sub so sensitivity is slightly reduced at lower power levels. At least 15 watts of power is needed to hear the bass but keep turning up the volume and at half of rated power (175 watts)it’s actually a little too much for me. Freq. response is stated as 30Hz to 700HZ but there is about a 3db/octave roll-off above 450Hz, response down to about 18Hz is excellent.
Pyle Audio has been around for a very long time. I first started seeing Pyle equipment come in for installlation or repair back in the early 1980’s in the electronics shop where I worked. They’ve always maintained a decent, low-budget, alot of “boom-for-the-buck” line of equipment and this is a good example.
